Air Motion Systems Announces
Record Growth in 2004

Year-over-year Sales Growth Tops 40%.

October, 2004 — GraphEXPO — Air Motion Systems, Inc. – the leading U.S.-based manufacturer of radiation curing and drying technology for the sheet-fed printing industry – is pleased to announce robust sales and a continuation of its success in revolutionizing the North American market for UV curing and Infra-red/Hot-air drying systems and accessories.

For the first three quarters in 2004, AMS has seen year-over-year sales growth exceeding 40% as the flagship Peak UV™ system rapidly becomes the system-of-choice in the growing market for in-line radiation curing on sheet-fed press formats.

The Peak UV™ system delivers previously unheard of advantages for printers of full and hybrid UV applications. Currently in production at over 22 customers, the Peak UV™ system was designed from the ground up to deliver service and reliability advantages unprecedented in the industry.

In the original equipment market, AMS continues to expand its reach with major press manufacturers. The Peak UV™ system is now available on all popular formats from KBA, Heidelberg, MAN Roland, Mitsubishi and Komori. Through a licensing agreement signed in 2003 with KBA, the German press manufacturer will begin providing AMS technology as a tightly integrated “Rapid Dry” option on all future sheet-fed presses sold worldwide. In addition, AMS continues to expand its agreement as a North American supplier of choice to KBA on all Rapida sheet-fed formats 40 inches and larger.

So far in 2004, over 20 new customers have taken advantage of the AMS drying platform, including well-known printers such as Graphic Packaging, Curtis Packaging, Johnson Printing, BF Nelson, Challenge Printing, Rock Tenn and PLM Group. AMS is also proud to announce availability of its Peak UV™ system on the new Rapida 205 – at over 81 inches the largest format offered to-date on the sheet-fed market; and now fully equipped for in-line UV and hybrid applications.

As the customer base expands, AMS continues to expand its operations – recently announcing the opening of a new corporate headquarters in scenic Arvada, Colorado – at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and just minutes from Denver, Golden and Boulder. Additions to the service organization, R&D group, and manufacturing and have increased production capacity and offerings on many new formats.

New service offerings introduced this year include a comprehensive on-line support monitoring capability to help insure uninterrupted operations as well as the launch of UV application consulting services. UV Consulting is designed to assist customers fine-tune their UV processes, manage sensitive substrates and chemistries, and sort through the myriad of decisions required to introduce UV and Hybrid applications into the product mix.

AMS is excited about growth heading into 2005 and will continue expanding the Peak UV™ system onto new formats as well as introducing new customer-centric offerings that deliver the innovation, service and support that all printers desire.
